Second Career Strategy is a program that was launched by the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities in June, 2008. The program is designed to assist workers who have been laid off within the last 12 months and are currently unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week to acquire skills training in high-skill occupations that are in demand in the local labour market.
